Embedding Social Media

 

Embedded social media posts should be used for the purposes of critique or/and education in the context of the multi-media narrative assignment. They should be included only if they enhance the audiences’ understanding of the story being told.

FACEBOOK “Embedded Posts are a simple way to put public posts – by a Page or a person on Facebook – into the content of your web site or web page. Only public posts from Facebook Pages and profiles can be embedded.” (from Facebook’s Developers page)

Paste the embed code provided by Facebook into the text editor on your WordPress page.

INSTAGRAM
“You can embed your own content as well as photos and videos from public profiles. As always, people own their Instagram content, and embedded posts give the proper attribution by showing the username and linking back to the original content on Instagram.” (from Instagram’s website)

Paste the Instagram URL into the text editor on your WordPress page.

Instagram will load in the frontend.

By embedding Twitter content in your website or app, you are agreeing to the Twitter Developer Agreement and Developer Policy.

Paste the embed code provided by Twitter into the text editor on your WordPress page.

Make your own gif with Photoshop and add as Media (change size to “full” before inserting gif).
