Student Bill of Rights

Professors Abdoney and Teaff welcome all viewpoints in the classroom. The use of threatening language or gestures to argue viewpoints is not permitted. Students may be asked to leave the room if either or both professors find it necessary.

In the spirit of the the above classroom expectations the list of rights (below) have been crafted by the students of DCI 180 on August 24, 2020 .  This Student Bill of Rights is intended to create a welcoming, safe, and supportive classroom culture. This document is subject to change by the students of DCI 180 when and if needed.

  • Attack ideas not people
  • Speak from the “I” perspective
  • Don’t make generalizations
  • Don’t talk over each other
  • Respect backgrounds, perspectives, & lived experiences
  • Assume good intentions
